Sed-Strat students use new XRF to look inside Michigan Basin cores

The undergraduate Sed-Strat class (GEOS 435) recently used a new XRF analyzer in the CPCL to produce geochemical data from two drill cores in the Michigan Basin. These data will help answer questions pertaining to carbon capture and storage in the basin. You can read more in the WMU News article here.

GESO 4350 student Tyler S. works with Ph.D. student Ashley Scott to generate elemental concentrations for a rock core from the Michigan basin.
